Detection of omicron mutant by SAVD PCR

NordicDx assists individuals and companies with PCR corona testing, and in connection with the government's new corona measures, requirements for PCR testing are also included.

Now fully vaccinated must also be quarantined if one in the household is infected, if there is reason to believe that it is the omicron variant according to VG.

These are the new measures, which the government says will be introduced "now":

The isolation period is extended to seven days for those who test positive and who there is reason to believe are infected with the omicron variant.

• The quarantine of infection is imposed for 10 days for household members and similarly close persons who there is reason to believe are infected with the variant omicron, regardless of vaccination status. These are required to perform a PCR test as soon as possible and on day 7 before the end of the quarantine.

• A test obligation is introduced for other close contacts. They should be tested by PCR test as soon as possible and between days 3 and 7 after close contact and should if possible avoid close contact with other people until the first test is negative.
