The SARS-CoV-2 test SAVD, which is produced by GeneMe, is continuously validated against the new mutants that are emerging globally. The latest report on 19 July 2021 shows that all circulating variants of the coronavirus are detected by SAVD, as there are no mutations on the ORF1ab gene that SAVD detects. In other words, the SAVD test still has a specificity of 100 % and a sensitivity of 99 %. GeneMe continuously monitors this and publishes regular reports.
